Costa Rican national concessions board CNC has approved a resolution to carry out technical studies for a US$700mn transfer terminal near the Moin Atlantic port.
The studies will take around a year, after which CNC will decide if the project is feasible before launching a tender to build the terminal in mid-2011, CNC project design director Eduardo Navarro told BNamericas.
The studies will be carried out by consortium Amega, which includes UK-based infrastructure consultants Halcrow Group and Scott Wilson Group, which first presented the project to the government in June 2007.
