Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Group, East Africa s largest commercial bank, on Thursday announced a 5.3-billion-shilling (about 71 million U.S. dollar) profit before tax for its 2009 third quarter financial results.
KCB Group chairman, Peter Muthoka, said the bank s operating profit (before provisions and tax) increased by 18 per cent from 4.99 billion shillings during the same period in 2008 to 5.90 billion shillings but pretax profit increased marginally by one percent to 5.28 billion shillings from 5.2 billion shillings during the same period in 2008.
