BURNETT Heads is one step closer to the Port of Bundaberg with the Wallace Creek Bridge construction nearing completion. The project, which began in August, will reduce travel time between the port and Burnett Heads by up to 85%.
Bundaberg Port Corporation manager Jason Pascoe said the project was still on schedule to finish before March. It has been a busy few months, but everything should be done by the end of February, Mr Pascoe said.
It will cut travel times between the port and the town dramatically. About 30 workers are currently on site to get the bridge up and running before the deadline. Piles have been driven in place ...
