BEING a parent is really tough, but I'd be willing to bet that all teenagers would argue that being a child is even more difficult, especially with today being Africa Youth Day.

Parents often wonder, "What do they (children) have to cope with? They don't have to worry about bond repayments, groceries or fuel bills."

The truth, though, is that being a teenager in 2009 is not easy. The pressure on them to succeed socially and academically is huge. If the amount or severity of stress exceeds a child's mental and psychological capacity, then disaster is only a short step away.
