The Philippine Canine Club Inc. (PCCI), the country’s sole internationally accredited registry for canine, has called on all owners to support only one institution.PCCI President Ronnie Natividad issued the call in light of concerns that the quality of purebred dogs may suffer due to the entry of a new registering body with limited track record and qualifications.“All purebred dog lovers should only support one organization that clearly has the birthright, so to speak, to be the country’s sole registering body,” Natividad said.He added: “We just can’t have another civil registry in the country.
