Nov 01, 2009 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A large range of stakeholders have lobbied the Australian Government over its impending decision on the anti-siphoning list of sports events that must be shown on free-to-air TV. It is expected to be shortened, while many events can also be moved to new digital channels of the commercial, non-subscription TV providers. Pay TV group Foxtel has noted that the majority of broadcast rights from the current list are not actually utilised by the free-to-air rivals.
