FOR A TEAM playing in the Greek top division for the first time in 10 years, Kavala have already made a lot of headlines this season.
First there was the loan signing of goalkeeper Charles Itandje, hounded out of Liverpool after offending the club at a Hillsborough memorial service last April.
Then there was the goalless draw with Olympiakos, a result that was so shaming for the perennial Greek champions that they parted company with coach Temuri Ketsbaia days later; and finally, owner Makis Psomiadis (pictured) was sentenced to four years' jail for an [umlaut]11million fraud scam.
