PLANS to allow Irish farmers to capitalise on a predicted explosion in grain prices will be unveiled this week.
Food and farming industry leaders from all across Ireland will gather in the RDS tomorrow to devise an action plan to spearhead economic recovery by boosting food exports.
They argue that with the world's population set to double by 2050, someone has to feed all these mouths. But they fear that if Irish farming continues on its current downward spiral, there won't be a processing industry left to meet demand.
