Dhaka, Oct 29 (UNB) - A total of 63 local and foreign firms Thursday submitted their bids to vie for 8 rental power plant projects, as the government desperately tries to get over the nagging electricity crisis.
The selected private sponsors will set up the power plants at eight separate locations across the country on rental basis.
The state-owned Power Development Board (PDB) had invited tenders to set up the plants to produce 530 MW of electricity. Four of the plants will be operated with diesel while the remaining four with furnace oil.
