CANBERRA, Nov 2 Asia Pulse - The Australian federal government should cut the insulation rebate to A$1,000 (US$898.40), the opposition's environment spokesman Greg Hunt says.
The government cut the rebate it pays households to install insulation to A$1,200 on Sunday and has warned it will publish a "name and shame" list of deregistered installers found to have engaged in dodgy behaviour.
Extra safety precautions will be enforced as well, under the tightened regulations.
