Environment officials of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) declared the Mt. Kitanglad Range Protected Area in Bukidnon as an ASEAN Heritage Park, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) announced.DENR Secretary Jose Atienza Jr. said the declaration was made during the recent 11th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Environment held in Singapore.Atienza attended the said meeting to seek for the inclusion of the park, which is one of the priority protected areas in the Philippines.ASEAN is formed by 10 countries namely Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Lao Peoples Democratic Republic, Myanmar, and ...
