The Campbell spinoff left Vlasic Foods' plant in Fayetteville, Ark., combine a proud legacy with forward thinking.
When executives at the Fayetteville, Ark., plant of Vlasic Foods International handed their business cards to a visitor recently, they chuckled apologetically over one feature: In big red cursive letters in the corner were the words "Campbell Soup Company."
"You'd think we could have gotten those changed by now," one said.
It's not like they haven't had other things to do. When Campbell spun off Vlasic last March, it created an entity that ranks 21st of America's 32 publicly traded food companies, and 773rd in the Fortune 1,000. The new ...
