Nov 02, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Origin Energy has bought Woodside Petroleum out of the Otway gas joint venture for $A712.5 million. The company indicated it will continue to consider other opportunities for acquisitions. Origin is likely to bid for a share of the privatized New South Wales electricity market before the 18 November 2009 deadline.
