Sep. 5--State Farm is planning to restore hurricane coverage that it had whittled down over the last year for homeowners across Florida -- except for those in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.
That means State Farm policyholders in South Florida will have to pay more to insure external structures, such as fences, swimming pools and awnings, and their personal possessions than policyholders outside the five counties.
