The French navy will receive support for the production of its new Barracuda-class nuclear submarines with fluid-handling technologies from Colfax Corp.
U.S. company Colfax says its Colfax-Imo Pompes unit located in France was selected by the naval-defense contractor Direction des Constructions Navales Services to produce oil pumps and other fluid-handling systems.
Officials say the Colfax technologies will go to support the Suffren, the first of six Barracuda-class nuclear submarines being constructed for the French navy.
