ALEMU Bekele took the men's 3,000m silver medal yesterday in the third Asian Indoor Games at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi.
It was the second medal for Bahrain in the Games, having won the women's 1,500m silver through Mimi Belete last Saturday.
Lined up with Asia's best long-distance runners, Bekele came second in the event in eight minutes and 1.50 seconds.
Winning the gold medal was James, clocking 8:00.80 while his compatriot Isa timed 8:05.87 to clinch third place and with it the bronze.
