o Allos Therapeutics Inc., of Westminster, Colo., enrolled the first patient in PROPEL, a pivotal Phase II study of its next-generation antifolate PDX (pralatrexate) with vitamin B12 and folic acid supplementation in patients with relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma. The trial, which is being conducted under an approved special protocol assessment, is expected to enroll 100 patients and measure the primary endpoint of objective response rate. PDX is a small-molecule chemotherapeutic agent designed to inhibit dihydrofolate reductase, a folic acid-dependent enzyme involved in the building of DNA and other processes.
