o AEterna Zentaris Inc., of Quebec City, reported in vitro data on the anti-angiogenic properties of perifosine at the Strategic Research Institute's conference on angiogenesis in Cambridge, Mass. The new findings demonstrate that the first-in-class, oral signal transduction/AKT inhibitor supresses the formation of new endothelial capillaries, characteristic of angiogenesis.
