o Biogen Idec Inc., of Cambridge, Mass., and Elan Corp. plc, of Dublin, Ireland, said Phase III data reported at the American Academy of Neurology meeting in San Diego showed that Tysabri (natalizumab) produced significant effects on pre-specified health-related quality-of-life measures among multiple sclerosis patients, in addition to those previously reported on disability progression, relapse rate and MRI. The findings also showed an impact on additional pre-specified measures of disability progression, including visual and cognitive function.
