Techspace Aero plans to order jet engine parts from VSMPO-Avisma in 2010
YEKATERINBURG. Nov 2 (Interfax) - Belgian Techspace Aero, a company in the Safran Group, plans to order a host of titanium jet engine components from VSMPO-Avisma in 2010, the Russian company said in a statement.
The engine modifications will be used on Boeing 737, Boeing 747, and Boeing 787 aircraft as well as on the Airbus A320 and A380.
Techspace Aero officials were on hand to witness firsthand the manufacture of certified rotor-quality titanium rings for jet engines at VSMPO-Avisma's facility.
