Antigenics Inc. said it may be able to use data for registration from the just-begun Phase II trial in chronic myelogenous leukemia with the cancer vaccine AG-858, but the company won't know until the study is further along.
"It's tough to know what [favorable earlier data] means in a small number of patients," said Jonathan Lewis, chief medical officer of New York-based Antigenics. But, he said, "if we can replicate even in part" those results from an earlier study, then the data might be used for a filing.
