o Acacia Research Corp., of Newport Beach, Calif., reported that its CombiMatrix group's Japanese subsidiary sold a DNA microarray synthesizer to the laboratory of Nobuyoshi Shimizu, head of the department of molecular biology at the Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo. Keio purchased a CombiMatrix custom slide chip synthesizer and entered into an agreement to purchase microarrays that will be used for genomic research.
