o Affymetrix Inc., of Santa Clara, Calif., and CapitalBio Corp., of Beijing, entered a nonexclusive agreement for the joint development of an advanced GeneChip-compatible personal scanner and a service provider program, through which CapitalBio will offer the full line of Affymetrix GeneChip products. The companies intend to pursue a number of products for research and molecular diagnostics, including additional instrumentation, reagents and services.
