o Allergan Inc., of Irvine, Calif., funded a Phase II study evaluating botulinum toxin Type A as a treatment for urinary incontinence in patients with the neurogenic form of overactive bladder, which showed that the product causes a rapid and sustained reduction in the number of daily incontinence episodes. Those findings were presented at the 2005 American Urological Association annual meeting in San Antonio.
