Nov 03, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Lexus Australia, Emirates, Myer and Tabcorp are among the companies that entertained staff and clients in the "birdcage" area of Flemington racecourse on Melbourne Cup day in 2009. A number of federal politicians also attended the big race, including Steven Conroy, Anthony Albanese and Kate Ellis, along with Victorian politicians such as Premier John Brumby and Opposition Leader Ted Baillieu.
