Acorda Therapeutics Inc., of Hawthorne, N.Y., was awarded by the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md., a $139,000 Phase I Small Business Innovation Research grant. The grant will fund research on the potential of antisense technology to be developed into therapeutic agents for the protection and repair of neurons after traumatic spinal cord injury.
