AaiPharma Inc., of Wilmington, N.C., signed a technology transfer agreement with the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. The arrangement is expected to facilitate the transfer of scientific discoveries by university researchers into medicines. The university's research centers are examining molecules that might be used to develop medicines from pharmaceutically active entities found in coastal waters. Financial details were not disclosed.
