o 454 Life Sciences, of Branford, Conn., a majority-owned subsidiary of CuraGen Corp., received a two-year, $2.4 million grant from the National Human Genome Research Institute to fund the scale-up of the company's technology for the sequencing of larger genomes, such as fungi.
