Adherex Technologies Inc., of Ottawa, Ontario, promoted Robin Norris to president in addition to his current role as chief operating officer. Norris joined Adherex in January as the company's chief operating officer. Norris also will be nominated to the board at the company's next annual general meeting. Prior to joining Adherex, Norris served as chief operating officer of transdermal drug delivery companies Noven Pharmaceuticals Inc., of Miami, and PowderJect Pharmaceuticals plc, of Oxford, UK. Adherex develops therapeutic drugs based on its cell adhesion platform technology.
