The Ducks broke with a seasonlong routine Monday, working out in helmets only rather than combining helmets and shoulder pads for a "shells" practice.
The change fit into a plan UO coach Chip Kelly said he devised with strength and conditioning coach Jim Radcliffe. They generated a noticeably different weekly practice schedule for the Ducks in their first season under Kelly, as compared with recent years.
