Japan's Nippon Oil Corp. and Nippon Mining Holdings Inc. will strive to improve the efficiency of their oil operations and develop new-energy operations under a holding company to be established next April. The two firms announced Friday an agreement for their coming business integration. They will combine their businesses under JX Holdings Inc., with Nippon Oil shareholders to receive 1.07 shares in the holding company for each share of Nippon Oil common stock they own. Nippon Mining shareholders will receive a single share in the holding company for each Nippon Mining common share they own.
