Favorable results from Central America and Peru helped drive Duke Energy's (NYSE: DUK) third quarter international Ebit, CFO Lynn Good announced.

International Ebit rose 29.9% to US$100mn on improved hydrology in Central America and improved dispatch in Peru, Good said in a webcast.

The increase was partially offset by lower results in Brazil, she added.

Brazil makes up the bulk of Duke's generation footprint in Latin America at 2.31GW, followed by Peru ...
