The purchase and rebranding of long-established regional electrical utilities continues.
Thursday, Cloverland Electric Cooperative announced it has reached a multi-million-dollar definitive agreement with Wisconsin Energy Corp. to acquire Edison Sault Electric Co.
The transaction, subject to regulatory and membership approval, will have Dafter, Mich-based Cloverland Electric, a not-for-profit, consumer-owned cooperative, acquire the more than a century-old Michigan Sault-based utility for $61.5 million.
