Five months after construction began, the reconstructed West Frontage Road reopened this week.The frontage road reopened Thursday afternoon between Highway K and Highway N. The Interstate 94 southbound lanes exit and entrance ramps also reopened Thursday.

The ramps and frontage road have been closed since June, as construction crews working for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation reconstructed them to eliminate scissor ramps that had traffic entering and leaving I-94 crossing traffic on the frontage road.

The new traffic configuration separates the ramps from the frontage road.
