LUXURY cruise ships will unload thousands of high spending tourists on Anglesey to pump nearly [pounds sterling]1m into the North Wales economy next summer. Falling bookings, bad weather and a stomach virus that hit one liner saw cruise ship visitors slump to 4,000 over the whole of 2007 and 2008.

But yesterday tourism chiefs revealed 12 ships carrying more than 7,000 passengers were officially heading for Holyhead in 2010, with another two liners provisionally booked.
