A consortium featuring Shepherd and Amber Infrastructure has won a [pounds sterling]50 million construction job to build a new library in Liverpool.
Their group, Inspire Partnership, beat off competition from Information Resources, a joint venture between Kier and Land Resources Trillium, for the construction job.
It will now carry out work on the city's Central Library, a Grade II listed building which is currently suffering from several problems, including a leaking roof.
