The Great Eastern Shipping Company (G E Shipping) has said it has drawn up capital expenditure of around Rs 2,075 crore (USD 437 million)

to expand its tankers and dry bulk carrier capacities.

"The company has a total capex commitment of around USD 437 million, which translates to about Rs 2,075 crore at current exchange rates, which will result in addition to the tonnage of about 0.68 mn dwt of 2 tankers & 5 dry bulk carriers," G E Shipping's Dy Chairman & MD, Bharat Sheth said here. The company has 12 crude carriers, 18 product carriers and 1one gas carrier along with 31 tankers and 6 dry bulk carriers, Sheth said.
