Philippine conglomerate San Miguel Corp. (SMCB.PH) said Tuesday that it will bid for the management of three hydroelectric power plants. The company is interested in acquiring the management contracts for the 345-megawatt San Roque multipurpose hydroelectric power plant in Pangasinan province, the 70-megawatt Bakun hydroelectric power plant in Ilocos Sur and the 30-megawatt Benguet mini-hydroelectric plant.
The Power Assets and Liabilities Management Corp., the agency tasked to privatize the assets of National Power Corp., has said that the deadline for the submission of bids for the three facilities will be on Nov. 11.
