EVI Capital Partners, a Johannesburg-based private equity firm, has launched a $400m buy-out fund and a $400m mezzanine fund for investments in sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa and the Middle East.
The timeframe within which EVI hopes to raise the two funds has yet to be disclosed.
The funds will target opportunities mainly in mining, energy, infrastructure, real estate, telecommunications and other sectors.
