Australian firm Nido Petroleum Ltd. said it has started the Kawayan 3D seismic survey in Service Contract 63 in offshore northwest Palawan to identify potential drilling targets in the block.
In a regulatory filing, Nido president and CEO JV Emmanuel de Dios said the planned program covered 840 square kilometers of 3D seismic data, which is being acquired by the joint venture s contractor PGS using the multi-streamer 3D seismic vessel MV Pacific Orient.
The survey will take between 35 and 40 days to complete, De Dios added.
