Police in Schenectady and Colonie are investigating a series of armed robberies they say may be related.
In Schenectady, an Albany Street gas station was robbed early Monday and a clerk was injured, city police said.
Two robbers, one with a handgun, robbed the Sunoco gas station at 2 a.m. and left with an undetermined amount of money.
While the male bandit fought with the store clerk, his female accomplice walked behind the counter and grabbed the cash, according to Schenectady police spokesman Sgt. Eric Clifford.
The robber's gun went off, but the bullet didn't strike anyone, he said. The thief hit the clerk with the butt of the gun ...
