SYDNEY, Nov 4 Asia Pulse - Aircraft manufacturer Airbus says Australia and New Zealand are expected to outpace the rest of the developed world in terms of passenger growth.
Airbus chief operating officer for customers, John Leahy, says airlines in the South Pacific, a region dominated by the two trans-Tasman markets, will require an additional 630 new aircraft over the next 20 years, worth about US$87 billion.
Traffic in the region is expected to grow at five per cent a year, the fastest pace among developed markets and above the worldwide average of 4.7 per cent.
And Mr Leahy expects this surge in demand to help push Airbus's share of aircraft ...
