LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC, Nov 4, 2009 (Marketwire via COMTEX) -- Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) has received Transport Canada type certification for its new PW535E engine selected to power the Embraer Phenom 300 light business jet. Pratt & Whitney Canada is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company.
"This is a remarkable milestone and comes 26 months after our first run of the PW535E engine," said John Wyzykowski, Vice President, Mississauga & Turbofan Programs, P&WC. "The Phenom 300 program is progressing quickly towards aircraft certification and we are looking forward to continuing to work with Embraer to ensure first customer deliveries in the near future."
