Nov 04, 2009 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- David Thodey, the new CEO of Telstra, says a controversial fee levied by the telco will be abolished. The charge of $A2.20 had been introduced in mid-2009 for payment of Telstra bills by mail or in person, disadvantaging those without internet access. Similar measures have been rolled out by the company's rivals, who may now face renewed calls to scale them back as well.
