The Edgerrin James experiment has ended for the Seattle Seahawks, with the veteran NFL running back released on Tuesday after gaining just 125 yards in the first seven games of the season.
The Seahawks also waived safety C.J. Wallace Tuesday on the heels of cornerback Travis Fisher's departure on Monday as the team attempts to improve in the wake of a 2-5 start.

Three players were promoted Tuesday from the practice squad -- safety Jamar Adams, cornerback Roy Lewis and wide receiver Mike Hass.
