WINNIPEG, MB, Nov 04, 2009 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX)closed higher on Wednesday as the price of gold continues to rise, according to market watchers.
The TSX composite index increased by 45.30 points or 0.41% to close at 11,071.2 on Wednesday. Trading volume totaled 539.9 million shares, up from 500.5 million on Tuesday. Advances beat declines 956 to 574
Six of the TSX's ten sectoral indexes ended higher on Wednesday.
