OTTAWA, ONTARIO, Nov 4, 2009 (Marketwire via COMTEX) -- The Competition Bureau announced today that it has reached an agreement with Agrium Inc. to resolve competition concerns related to Agrium's proposed acquisition of CF Industries Holdings Inc.
This agreement follows a detailed review of the proposed transaction, during which the Bureau concluded that the acquisition would likely lead to a substantial lessening and/or prevention of competition in the wholesale supply of certain nitrogen fertilizer products in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
