Thirteen apex court judges own stocks in various companies

SEVERAL Supreme Court judges have invested their earnings in the stock market. Data compiled from the assets made public on Monday revealed 13 of the 21 judges have invested in shares of blue-chip companies.

Though it is completely justifiable and legal to invest in shares, 'Restatement of Values of Judicial Life' or the code of conduct for judges restricts them from speculating in shares and stocks.
