Following an assessment tour of the Oben Gas Plant in the Orhionmwon area of southeast Nigeria's Edo State, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Managing Director Mohammed Barkindo has announced that the capacity of the plant will be increased.
The Oben Gas plant currently has a gas capacity of 90 MMcf which is piped into the Trans-Forcados pipeline network.
We are now looking at the possibility of expanding that capacity with additional 60 MMcf of gas, said Mr Barkindo. We are looking at the possibility of expediting work on the expansion program.
