Cisco Systems, EMC Corp. and VMware on Tuesday unveiled a new alliance aimed at the increasingly competitive corporate data-center market where some of technology's biggest players are battling it out for market share.
Cisco introduced the Virtual Computing Environment Coalition, which aims to "help organizations simplify and accelerate pervasive virtualization and the transition to private cloud infrastructures," the three companies said in a statement.
